April Lockhart

April Lockhart is a born July 4th in 1995. As a seventh-grade student she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. It was this that ignited her love to write songs. April Lockhart composed her debut song, Different at age of 12. She spent lots of time when she was 14 writing songs, and practicing her music. She started writing songs with her father on the streets of NY and LA soon after. April started to include other subjects in the book, Take My Hand, for her pals who were struggling with disabilities, peer pressure and even suicide. Lockhart has a partnership with the well-known clean beauty brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle influencer with an increasing following of her own. She was born with no left hand. This creates her unique. However, that's not the only thing about her. Lockhart does not deny that she has a disability in her Instagram profile but she doesn't place it in the spotlight of it. The point is? We all have multiple aspects that our identities are complex and that we're much greater than the physical person we are. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't want to be an influencer with a disability who only talks about as there are numerous other aspects of me Lockhart states in video form from her house in Nashville. The fact that it's not affecting my everyday life. I go about things normally, and I've discovered the best way for me to adapt circumstances. It's a huge element of my life so it is important to discuss it. Lockhart's self-acceptance journey will be one that lasts many years, yet she has been a source of inspiration with regard to this. She still admits to going through phases when it comes to her body, feeling uncertain about clothing choices that showed off her arms. Now, though she dons what she's comfortable in and post pictures of herself in these outfits on social media with pride. The self-love she talks about is a process. It's hard to say if you'll ever make it to the finish line. The same is true for everybody regardless of levels of anxiety. The people you surround yourself with who truly know you, and can see into your heart, are those who will remind you why it's important.
