Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC before Jaimee Nievera. Ladd kept building on her win during Ultimate Reno Combat, where she won three consecutive fights. She defeated all her competitors in the initial round. Then, she went back to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia beat Aspen as she beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were affected. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n' Uff and improved her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015. She joined Invicta FC and made her debut. The InvictaFC11 fight was her very first professional bout. She dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta 16 saw her rise up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen employed her skills in wrestling to take out McGill with a TKO during the third round (elbows and punches). Aspen later fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18 at catchweight (138.1lb) in the event that Ladd was unable to reach her weight. However, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 21, she won her final fight with the promotion by unanimous decision. The debut of Aspen Ladd's UFC debut took place in UFC Fight Night 118 when she faced Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by pound-for-pound, and took the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. In her second fight, she overcame Tonya Evinger more convincingly. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the opening round, she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Her first major fight came with her next bout at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in the Invicta FC rematch. Both fighters put up an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters received the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie beat Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in the 3rd round at UFC 7 at ESPN. Her most recent bout for the UFC she took on Norma Dumont at UFC Fight Night 195 to replace her fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous verdict.
